Restraining Anger

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه و سلم: "أَوْصِنِي." قَالَ: "لَا تَغْضَبْ." فَرَدَّدَ مِرَارًا، قَالَ: "لَا تَغْضَبْ." رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Pronunciation
‘An Abī Hurayrah raḍiya Allāhu ‘anhu anna rajulan qāla lin-Nabiyyi ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam: "Awṣinī." Qāla: "Lā taghḍab." Faraddada mirāran, qāla: "Lā taghḍab." Rawāhu al-Bukhārī.
English
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (RA), that a man said to the Prophet (ﷺ): "Counsel me." He (ﷺ) said: "Do not become angry." The man repeated [his request] several times, and he (ﷺ) said: "Do not become angry." Related by Al-Bukhari.
