The Limits of Allah

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم قَالَ: "إنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلَا تُضَيِّعُوهَا،" "وَحَدَّ حُدُودًا فَلَا تَعْتَدُوهَا،" "وَحَرَّمَ أَشْيَاءَ فَلَا تَنْتَهِكُوهَا" حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيّ وَغَيْرُهُ.
Pronunciation
'An rasūli-llāhi ṣalla-llāhu 'alayhi wa sallama qāl: "Innallāha ta'ālā faraḍa farā'iḍa falā tuḍayyi'ūhā," "wa ḥadda ḥudūdan falā ta'tadūhā," "wa ḥarrama ashyā'a falā tantahikūhā" Ḥadīthun ḥasanun, rawāhud-Dāraqutniyyu wa ghayruh.
English
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Allah the Almighty has laid down obligations, so do not neglect them;" "and He has set limits, so do not overstep them;" "and He has forbidden things, so do not violate them." A Hasan Hadith, related by ad-Daraqutni and others.
