عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:
'An 'Uqbata-bni 'Amirin, radiyallahu 'anhu, qala: Sami'tu Rasulullahi sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallama yaqul:
On the authority of Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
يَعْجَبُ رَبُّكَ مِنْ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ، فِي رَأْسِ شَظِيَّةِ الْجَبَلِ،
Ya'jabu Rabbuka min ra'i ghanam, fi ra'si shaziyyati-l-jabal,
Your Lord delights at a shepherd who, on the peak of a mountain crag,
يُؤَذِّنُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَيُصَلِّي.
yu'adhdhinu bi-s-salati wa yusalli.
gives the call to prayer and prays.
فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ، عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي هَذَا،
Fayaqulullahu, 'azza wa jall: Unzuru ila 'abdi hadha,
Then Allah (glorified and exalted be He) says: Look at this servant of Mine,
يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، يَخَافُ مِنِّي.
yu'adhdhinu wa yuqimu-s-salah, yakhafu minni.
he gives the call to prayer and performs the prayers; he is in awe of Me.
قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي، وَأَدْخَلْتُهُ الْجَنَّةَ.
Qad ghafart li'abdi, wa adkhaltuhu-l-jannah.
I have forgiven My servant [his sins] and have admitted him to Paradise.
رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ بِسَنَدٍ صَحِيحٍ.
Rawahu-n-Nasa'iyyu bisanadihi-s-sahih.
It was related by an-Nasa'i with a good chain of authorities.

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: يَعْجَبُ رَبُّكَ مِنْ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ، فِي رَأْسِ شَظِيَّةِ الْجَبَلِ، يُؤَذِّنُ بِالصَّلَاةِ وَيُصَلِّي. فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ، عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَبْدِي هَذَا، يُؤَذِّنُ وَيُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ، يَخَافُ مِنِّي. قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي، وَأَدْخَلْتُهُ الْجَنَّةَ. رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ بِسَنَدٍ صَحِيحٍ.

On the authority of Uqbah ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Your Lord delights at a shepherd who, on the peak of a mountain crag, gives the call to prayer and prays. Then Allah (glorified and exalted be He) says: Look at this servant of Mine, he gives the call to prayer and performs the prayers; he is in awe of Me. I have forgiven My servant [his sins] and have admitted him to Paradise. It was related by an-Nasa'i with a good chain of authorities.
