Modesty is from Faith

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَنْصَارِيِّ الْبَدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم: "إنَّ مِمَّا أَدْرَكَ النَّاسُ مِنْ كَلَامِ النُّبُوَّةِ الْأُولَى:" "إذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحِ فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْت." رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ.
Pronunciation
‘An Abī Mas‘ūdin ‘Uqbata ibni ‘Amrin al-Anṣāriyyi al-Badriyyi raḍiya Allāhu ‘anhu qāla: Qāla Rasūlu Allāhi ṣallā Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam: "Inna mimmā adraka an-nāsu min kalāmi an-nubūwwati al-ūlā:" "idhā lam tastaḥi faṣna‘ mā shi’ta." Rawāhu al-Bukhārī.

On the authority of Abu Masood Uqbah bin ’Amr al-Ansaree al-Badree (RA), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Verily, from what was learned by the people from the speech of the earliest prophecy is:" "If you feel no shame, then do as you wish." Related by Al-Bukhari.
